Vivion was founded in 1957 by Edward A. Poleselli, a chemistry degree graduate who began his career with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and later on the pharmaceutical company Pfizer. After striking out on his own as a chemical distributor serving the West Coast and warehousing from his garage, Vivion eventually expanded in California with multiple offices and warehouses.
